ABOUT JES:

Born and bred in New York, JES started singing and writing songs from a very early age. Her first professional recordings were made at the tender age of 14 after answering an ad in “The Village Voice”. JES tirelessly developed her craft through the years that followed working with New York’s elite producers. Her reputation as an undiscovered talent grew quickly but her first breakthrough wouldn’t come until after she relocated from New York to California.

Befriending and working with DJ’s and producers from the developing electronic music scene JES found a new channel for her songwriting and performing. Her first song in the electronic genre won the support of Paul Van Dyk and was included it on his renowned “Politics Of Dancing” mix compilation. This opened the door to a flood of collaboration requests from within the dance community. Shortly after her first release JES wrote and recorded “As The Rush Comes” with underground bay area DJ’s Gabriel & Dresden (forming the band Motorcycle). The song helped to redefine the landscape of modern dance music reaching #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Airplay chart where it would also become the first year-end number one dance airplay track that same year spending 45 weeks on the chart. It also became a trans-Atlantic hit, peaking at number eleven in the United Kingdom and the top 10 of several other European countries. JES’ soulful voice and edgy autobiographical writing was a refreshing departure for the electronic music world and proved the key ingredient in the song’s genre blurring sound. After meeting Tiesto backstage during a tour of the United Kingdom the world #1 DJ personally signed JES to his labelMagik Muzik.

Four solo artist albums followed and JES collaborated as a singer and songwriter with a who’s who of the worlds most prominent DJ’s including Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Above & Beyond, ATB, Kaskade, BT, Richard Durand, Cosmic Gate, and Roger Shah. JES has collected awards from the prestigiousInternational Dance Music Awards at Miami’s WMCThe International Songwriting Competition (‘08’ 09 and ‘10) and topped Billboard’s “Most Played Dance Songs of the Decade” chart (2000-2010). Her tours have touched the shores of 6 continents with landmark shows at international events such as theBeijing Olympics and she has received two Grammy nominations. JES’ weekly radio show and mix compilation franchise “Unleash The Beat” has grown to reach over 80 stations worldwide in just 2 short years and resulted in over 5 album releases. Her unmistakable voice and touching songs have earned her an ever-growing legion of devoted fans worldwide.

Instead he’ll drag you into his studio to get your opinion on his next track, always striving to innovate. And with the huge number of quality tunes he churns out, you could be in there for a while.

Austin first rose to prominence with a string of hits on John Digweed’s Bedrock label in 2000, and quickly started seeing his music everywhere. Press Release

We all know that happy people lead better lives, are more productive and eat more Kale. However, happiness can all too often seem to elude us. JES returns with the stunningly original “Happy,” the sophomore release from her own label Intonenation Records.

Joining forces with Floridan / Czech beat architects Austin Leeds andRedhead Roman, JES serves up "Happy" with a track that puts the most mysterious of all emotions under the spotlight. Growing from an emotive breakdown into a resonating chorus of ecstatic vocals and exploding drums, “Happy” takes the established formula of progressive and spins it like a bottle. Driven by a captivating vocal performance, JES' passion is matched at every pace by an equally infectious drop. "Happy" is a joyful cocktail of uplifting melodies with a dark undercurrent of gritty bass and beats that will have you dancing like no one is watching.

If you are still searching for happiness then join JES, Austin and Roman on the road to enlightenment. Who knew getting "Happy" could be so much fun ?

"Happiness is such a difficult thing to pin down. I think that’s why we all struggle with it so much. For a long time I had wanted to write something about it because so many songs deal with heartbreak and sadness. When I heard the track that Austin and Roman had put together it was an instant inspiration for me. It had that carefree sense of security about it that epitomizes how you feel when you’re happy.

At times we all confuse happiness with pleasure and I have come to understand that for me at least, too much pleasure doesn’t always bring me happiness. It comes from a deeper place of helping someone else, so make someone happy today!" - JES

To illustrate the bubbly message of "Happy", JES has included a not-to-be-missed music video featuring the joyous escapades of adorable French Bulldog Joey. Directed and filmed by Eric Monjoin, and edited by Richard Robson, with additional footage filmed by Joey himself and additional Pups and Happiness brought to you by Bark’N’Borrow, "Happy" chronicles a day in the life of the jubilant canine on the beach, at the park, and just generally relishing everything that comes his way.

Dogs have always been one of my favorite sources of happiness in life. They’re unconditional love and commitment is always an inspiration to me. I wanted to create a video that reflected a dogs happiest moments and captured that unreserved joy that they seem to be so much more comfortable with than we are. Director Eric Monjoin has done an incredible job of capturing those authentic and personal moments with his dog and co-cinematographer Joey. - JES
