Lord Man are an American rock band formed at San Diego. The line-up includes Grammy Award drummer Gregg Bissonette, guitarist/composer and writer Jack Gunn, bassist Tom Gunn, singers from San Diego’s early Sacra Profana. Other important contributors include Brian Stratman on Hammond B-3 and mixing engineer Greg Wurth of Patagonia Studio in Los Angeles.
The music and lyrics of Lord Man are the creation of Jack Gunn. He recruited these members of the band to record a concept album comprising rock, classical and psychedelic genres. Literary sources such as those of Tolkien are used for the tracks.The songs reflect the struggles of a worldly man embarking on a spiritual quest.

The music of Lord Man is hereby released today. This band from San Diego is a concept of Jack Gunn. The sound captures the orchestral power of classical music, the guitar of Jimi Hendrix, the fantasy driven sounds of early Genesis. On drums is Grammy Award winner Gregg Bissonette.
