Pursuit Of Power was conceived in 2009 as a studio project by LaPorte, Indiana guitarist Martin McCann to release powerful and original epic style rock music that would have a strong effect on it's listeners. Music that would move them.

Artist Biography

In 2009, Indiana Guitarist Martin McCann began writing songs for Pursuit Of Power.  In 2010, Steve Mullican Jr. joined as lead vocalist. 

 

In 2011, Pursuit Of Power's debut CD "Across The World" was released on Irish Shred Records.  In 2013, their second CD "Sacra Metallum" was released.  Now in 2014, Pursuit Of Power is doing something new.  While working on their next full-length CD, they are taking their original style of writing and carefully crafting their songs to be more accessible.  One by one, ten songs will be released individually as a single.  Then when the full CD is done, there will be a couple of bonus tracks added.

 

Pursuit Of Power is currently lead vocalist Steve Mullican Jr., guitarist Martin McCann, guitarist Shane "guitarber" Garber, and bassist Mike Richards.  They have used various drummers up until now.

Pursuit Of Power is set to enter the singles market with the first of ten digital singles.  The band is shooting for mainstream success by carefully mixing their already established sound and style with catchier arrangements and lyrics that everyone can relate to in one way or another.  "Flying Home" has all the elements of a hit, a very commercial rock song with just the right balance of melody and power.  Clear heartfelt verses about longing to be home with a loved one sung to nice clean guitar work, powerful chorus's, and all brought together with top notch musianship and production.

 

Guitarist and founder Martin McCann says "The idea to release ten digital singles came about when we noticed what kinds of songs we were writing for our next album.  It turns out that this is the natural evolution for us and we are ready to take big steps with it now."

 

"Flying Home" became available at all major online digital stores and streaming services on June 10th, 2014.
