Artist Biography
Carmen & Camille’s new album NEON captures the passion, heartbreak and elation of the pop duo's desire to make their musical dreams comes true in the rough and tumble, star studded town of Los Angeles. Just after the girls embraced their American roots and moved to the US, in a surprise twist, they found success in their native country Canada as their single Shine 4U shot up the Canadian charts and garnered them a Juno nomination (Canada's version of a Grammy).

C&C's success in Canada only fueled their desire to make it in the USA. While remixes of Shine 4U were popping up all over the globe and industry accolades poured in, the girls started writing new songs. The twin sister duo have been practicing since childhood, experimenting with what they call “passion pop” – their trademark honesty set to catchy, dance floor hooks – and 2010 was spent travelling back and forth from Canada to make appearances in media such as Flare, E!Talk and Much Music, the Much Music Video Awards and the Juno Awards all to support the success of Shine 4U which broke into the Top 40 Canadian radio charts and landed the girls in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Emerging Artist chart.

Carmen & Camille‘s rising success didn’t happen overnight, as the girls had already developed a devoted fan base through licensing with several MTV shows including The Hills which reached a worldwide audience. They were already being talked about in Billboard, Elle Girl, Stuff Mag, Seventeen and performed on The Maury Show and on one of the last episodes of MTV's Total Request Live. C&C may now be rising princesses of pop, but the girls’ toughed it out touring relying on their musicianship, charm and dedication which led to live performances around Europe, the US and Canada -- on gritty military tours in remote areas of the Middle East to bawdy Glaswegian pubs.

Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE --
(Los Angeles) Juno nominated pop duo Carmen & Camille have just released their new single "Without You" to radio and already have one of Canada's biggest stations (Chum FM Toronto) supporting the track.
The video for the single will be released later this summer and will feature a comedic side of the twin sister's personalities.
This is on the back of their single release of "IDGAF" which premiered on Fuse TV and achieved rotation on dozens of radio stations across the US and Canada. Remixes of the single jumped to the top 10 in club video charts in the US as well as achieving #1 on the VIVA Club Charts and #4 on the VIVA Top 100 (VIVA is the MTV-affiliated station in Germany).
"We had so much fun with the video for IDGAF," says Carmen. "We shot the video in the Mojave desert and didn't realize that there were deadly rattlesnakes and scorpions all over the place until after the shoot. And here we were running around with little summery sandals on!"
Both singles are on their new ep NEON which was released this past spring.  The album was conceived by the twins throughout the past year and features songs that reflect both the heartache and the fun times the girls have had since their move to Los Angeles three years ago - the year C&C's single "Shine 4U" was nominated for a Juno award (Canada's version of the Grammy).
It was just as the girls were diving into the bright lights of Hollywood that their home country Canada recognized
