Born and raised in suburban Philadelphia, Mark grew up listening to R&B, 60's Pop-Rock, Folk and Country. As a drummer and guitarist, he backed local performers in clubs along the Jersey Shore, establishing himself as an accomplished singer-songwriter before setting out for Nashville.
After a brief stint in Music City, he moved on to Los Angeles, where he ran his own recording studio working with local songwriters and singers. It is there he experimented with movie-making and stage shows before embarking on a solo career as an indie recording artist.
He continues to write, record, release and perform his original music to audiences worldwide.
His song 'Rockin The Country' sung by Grammy-Award Winner Faith Rivera was used in the Lifetime Network movie 'Escape From Polygamy'. His upcoming single 'AMERICAN DREAMERS' was produced by Stacy Hogan [Lady Antebellum, Emmylou Harris, Linda Davis].
His mentors include Marty Dodson [Hit singles for Carrie Underwood, Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Chesney] and Clay Mills [Hit singles for Diamond Rio, Darius Rucker and Trisha Yearwood.]
Mark is a member of BMI, ASCAP and the Nashville Songwriters Association.

Los Angeles Country Americana Music Artist Releases New Single 'AMERICAN DREAMERS'
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and recording artist Mark Wesley Curran has released his new Americana single 'American Dreamers' on October 1, 2020, available 12pm on Spotify and all major streaming platforms. This will be his first release since his debut LP, 'From The Heart' was released in 2002.
In tandem with the new single, the official music video for the single will drop at the same time, premiering on Vimeo and YouTube. The music video will also premiere on Mark's Place Live!, a streaming webcast on FacebookLive, YouTubeLive and Twitch. The show airs weekly each Thursday at 5pm PST.
“American Dreamers is an uptempo contemporary Americana-Rock song reminiscent of some of Bruce Springsteen's more patriotic anthems, yet in a style uniquely my own,” Curran states, “It delivers a positive message for hope, change, innovation and the American spirit, something we need very much right now.”
The single was produced in Nashville by Stacy Hogan [Lady Antebellum, Emmylou Harris, Linda Davis] featuring some of Music City's best session players. Mark Wesley Curran, who wrote both lyrics and music for the song, recorded his lead vocal in Los Angeles at Big Ego Studios with engineer Chris Schlaarb producing. The single was mixed by Stacy Hogan at Nashville's Writer's Paradise Studios.
