Artist Biography

 

 

Joe Maraio was a co-founder & Lead guitarist/singer of the East Boston based quartet Stock VII (formed in 1996). The band (Anthony Albano, Steve Previte, Joey Lombardi, & Joe Maraio) gained a name for themselves on the Boston music scene in the late 90's after winning the (Now De-funked)WBCN Battle of the Bands. The band also scored 2nd at the WAAF battle in early 2000. Aside from winning numerous competitions, the band have opened up for multiple national acts including: Powerman 5000, Reville, Godsmack, and The Dropkick Murphy's..

 In early 2009, Joe Maraio embarked on a solo project with co-producer/engineer, Boston rock legend, Jim Foster @ White Sight and Sound Studios( www.whitesightandsound.com ) in Framingham MA. The project, "Soul for Sale", consisted of Maraio playing 90% of the instruments on the album. The album is a 7 song journey, that explores not only Maraio's wide range of musical influences , but his ability to handle multiple instruments. Released on Whyte Trash MuSick in 2010.
