In their debut single Warp-X (pronounced Warp Ten) has given new definition to the word transcending with their new Ameri-Euro Dance sound. Their combination of seductive vocals, euphoric melodies and pulsating tempo has an infectious energy. Combine light, electricity and great vibes and you have Warp-X.

Warp-X is comprised of two brothers, Zaid and Hector Velez. While they currently reside in Florida, the two were born in Malaga, Spain one of the oldest cities in the world and often referred to as “the capital of the Costa Del Sol”. Due to their eclectic tastes, the group’s musical influences span from the R&B, Pop and Electronic Dance music genres. It’s because of group’s talent, that collaboration with music veterans and game players such as Ralph Roundtree who’s worked with LL Cool J and Warner Bros Records, Rusky Rusk, from Russia who worked with DJ Carnage and The Cataracs and Michael Brown from Universal Music Group who are excited to see Warp-X explode the music scene.

“It’s sexy, free spirited and feel good music” says the group as they prepare for their spring break tour and album release. The electricity building around the recently released single “She’s On Fire” is already making heads bob in Russia, Australia, France and State side with a rapidly growing worldwide fan base. “She’s On Fire” is currently available for purchase on iTunes and Amazon.com.

Who is Warp Ten?

“Life is to short, live it up”, is a slogan frequently used by Warp-X (pronounced Warp-Ten). There couldn’t be a better use of words for these trailblazers who are doing just that!

The Ameri-Euro Dance Group Warp-X has given new definition to the word transcending with their new debut single “She’s on Fire”. This combination of seductive vocals, euphoric melodies and pulsating tempos has an infectious energy. Combine light, electricity and great vibes and you have Warp-X. With their vibrant sound, collaborators such as Ralph Roundtree, who’s worked with Grammy winning LL Cool J, and Michael Brown from Universal Music Group are working with the group on their anticipated album, “No Disguise”. Producer Rusky Rusk from Russia, who’s worked with DJ Carnage and The Cataracs, has taken the helm behind Warp-X’s music which is sure to harrold the arrival of this gifted new talent.

Zaid and Hector later moved to Virgina Beach, VA and also spent lots of time in both New York and Nashville.

Their father was in the military and they were raised by their mother. Always the musicians, the two began singing at a young age in Virginia. The duo had performed in a few groups, talent shows and were putting on their own performances for friends and family; you know the things dreamers do. Growing up in such a diverse and cultured environment; embracing the old mixed with modern and with all of the beautiful distinctions, falling in love with the different backgrounds and places they’ve been greatly influenced who they are and their sound. Not only do they live the lyics in their music but they both love to move and entertain. “We love the effect of making people feel good” says Warp-X.

The messages they send through their music is about how they see the world and their love for all types of sounds which has inspired their overall feel. World dance music came so natural for the two, touching so many facets of people. Feeling intertwined with so many walks of life the two feel like they are “living life like they have a purpose” and welcome the continued journey.

The name WARP-X came right out of Star Trek, an interesting story; in an episode of Star Trek they learned that the formula for calculating warp speed for warp factors 1 through 9 is v=w10/3c. To achieve a warp factor 9 or above became nearly impossible to accomplish. That is until Tom Paris broke the warp barrier, surmounting all odds, and went on to be the first pilot to reach Warp 10. The idea of surmounting all odds became a pivotal notion for the two and that is where Warp-X was born.

You could compair Warp-X’s music to albums like David Guetta’s “Nothing But The Beat” or to Swedish House Mafia’s “Until Now” but because of their beachy charm and state side influence, the artists tend to have a different vibe all together. “It’s sexy, free spirited and feel good music.” Says the group.
